She is about 34, was born in India and presently stays in a flat with a women M.P. Constance, which is located near by a hospital where her father is waiting for his death. John Osborne, The author of the modern tragedy “Time Present” gallantly dramatizes the intra-psychic struggle of the heroin Pamela in the play. The ‘inner disparity’ of the character denies a satisfactory life outside and becomes the fundamental cause in
shaping her destiny. Nevertheless the suffering or solitude results from the interaction of the private guilt of the heroin and the hostile conditions of the London society in which she is planted. The effort is also to provide enough checks and balances in the system, so as to protect the interest of various stakeholders, be it the consumers or the generation, transmission & distribution companies, power traders etc,. The power professionals face a tough challenge of putting the sector on a high growth rate of around 9% commensurate with a steady reduction in Aggregate Technical and Commercial losses and improving the efficiency of various systems and processes. Improvements do not stop when formal training is completed. Management development is a key component of a Company’s employee development efforts. Author : L. Chinna Reddeppa |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In order to attain holistic development we should encourage self-exploration among teachers and their children in an atmosphere of support, encouragement, mutual understanding and acceptance. But today’s educational institutions have become industries manufacturing children as machinery without any values. Yoga related procedures are divided into two categories viz., i) physical and physiological and ii) the
psychological. The physical and physiological procedures are addressed to biological vital and partly mental level. It is important to impart this perspective about many of the traditional practices to teachers who ultimately have to deal with children. Teachers are the backbone for implementation of the right modules of yoga practice that can develop the right brain, eyesight, hearing, speech, memory and emotion culture which can develop nation building features in the students. Though one can see the benefits of yoga still there is a need for scientific assessment of the benefits of yoga for students, at the thought, cognitive level. |

Author : Miss. Priyanka M. Jadhav |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Eco-criticism having a number of nomenclatures like green studies, cultural studies eco-critical studies etc is an emerging school of literary criticism. It had its beginning in America in the late 1990s. this school is also known as ecological or environmental literary criticism. The nature of this school is a diverse and interdisciplinary as it draws on disciplines such as environmental studies, ecology, philosophy, history, sociology,
and cultural studies. There are a number of definitions of this critical school attempted by different critics at different times. But the most widely quoted definition of ecocriticism was written by Cheryl Glotfelty in 1996. The major feature of this definition is that it is intentionally broad and inclusive. She defined ecocriticism as “the study of the relationship between literature and the physical environment” (Glotfelty, 1996, p. xviii). Glotfelty (1996) explains that ecocriticism is a school of thought and that it takes an earth-centric as well as a bio-centric approach to the study of literature, in the same way that feminist criticism brings an awareness of gender and
Marxist criticism highlights production and economic class. That is why ecocriticism and feminism are closely interconnected.

Author : Venkatappa S. Madana |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The world “tribal” or Tribal brings to our mind a picture of half-naked men and women, with arrows and spears in their hands, feather in their heads, and speaking an unintelligible language, their lives often combined with myths of savagery and cannibalism. However, any person having visited a tribal village
will be surprised and thrilled to see a community living close to nature, peace-loving, equitable and with advanced cultural/social forms. Our knowledge about the tribals is very limited, leading us to believe many myths at the cost of their dignity. Even when majority of the communities in the world kept changing their life-styles competed with each other and developed materialistic instincts to keep pace with the “progress” of the world, there were communities still living in line with their traditional values, customs and beliefs. The
problems and prospects of tribal women empowerment in Karnataka state have been discussed and revealed in detail in this paper. |

ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR FIRMS: A CASE STUDY OF CAPITAL GOODS INDUSTRY |
Author : Ombir |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :It is a general perception that public sector firms are less efficient relative to the private sector firms. The perception is based on the idea that the private ownership establishes the market for corporate control by allowing the tradability of property rights and therefore improves the quality of management. The paper tries to verify this perception using the most recent data from the Indian capital goods industry. In order to analyze the financial performance of public and private
sector firms, we have used two distinct techniques viz., ratio analysis and panel data models. The ratio analysis reveals that public sector companies have better short term and long term financial health as measured by liquidity and solvency ratios and they have lower efficiency in resource use as compared to that of private sector firms. As far as profitability is concerned, public sector firms are as good as their private counterparts are. Whereas, the panel model suggests that public sector firm
have higher profitability than their private counterparts. |
